A Disney Christmas

What an absolutely magical Disney week we have had! Spending four days at Disneyland during the holiday season has definitely put the family in the Christmas spirit. The more I think about it, the more I love it and am so happy we were able to go. Yes- I got teary when I walked up main street, yes- I got teary when we watched the fireworks explode over Sleeping Beauty's castle while Silent Night played, yes- I got teary when we had to leave, and finally yes- I am getting teary now thinking of the amazement on the girls' faces as they experienced something out of a story book. We had an amazing time and if I truly told everything I loved and remember about the trip this post would need to be served with a cup of hot cocoa because it would go on and on... Hot cocoa, even the Hot Cocoa there was so so good. For those who have not been, the place is immaculate. I still can't figure out how they keep it so clean, how I never saw one sour employee, how I never had to plea with the lady in the next stall if she could spare a square of TP. We went at a perfect time, we never had long lines to wait in and we got to do everything we wanted to do. I am not very good at using colorful adjectives that paint a perfect picture or help capture the feelings of joy and delight our children experienced, so the best I can do, as usual, is post a ridiculous amount of my favorite pictures and add my two cents here and there.

Of course the castle...
Of course the tea cups...
Of course Small World...
And of course Mickey and Minnie

I love this picture, Ady always had the biggest smile when she was on the carousel
It rained, obviously

DISNEY BOUND

This past weekend we took our annual after Thanksgiving trip to the cabin. This is where we always cut down our old fashioned Griswold family Christmas tree. Once we got home and finished decorating our tree we had the girls open an early Christmas present. Inside was a picture of Sleeping Beauty's Castle and the Disneyland logo. They opened these presents together and found out for the first time that we would be spending a week in Disneyland. We caught all the action on tape and as you can see they are really excited to go. You will also see that Adyson has a nasty case of EPD (Excessive Picking Disorder). It is so embarrassing but hilarious at the same time.
